I can’t believe I’m a little over a month from publishing my first book!
To be honest, this book has been done for A WHILE . . . but publishing is scary. I’ve had so much fun with this series, though. The prequel is nearly done, book 2 is in editing phase, and book 3 is half written. I have so many other projects going on but I keep returning to this series, these characters, because it represents what I love about fantasy, nature, and my favorite book tropes, and honestly, I just need more joy right now.
Formatting is taking up a fair amount of time . . . making decisions about interior matter, my author photo, creating artwork for the inside, map-making, etc. It’s been a lot of fun!
But here’s what this post is really about: MY COVER! I got my cover back from MiblART and I’m so excited to share it! I think they did a wonderful job of getting the vibe of my book: nature, fairy-tale, a hint of royalty . . . I’ll be sharing this in 2 DAYS on my Instagram account.

It’s a weird feeling after years of writing to have your book look like . . . an actual book. I can’t wait to hold it in my hand.
